Hundreds of thousands of students and female students have been demonstrating for days for the cessation of the war in Palestine.
Protests at universities in the US, Israel's biggest ally, reflect a deep dissatisfaction with the country's role in the Gaza conflict and appear to be building an anti-war movement.
In recent days, protesters have been setting up tents. at the Universities, who do not give up their fighting spirit despite the fact that in a few days their exams formally begin.
“It's encouraging that people are starting to pay attention to what's happening,” says a protester from Columbia University in New York, while a colleague from Emory in Atlanta explains the reasons that mobilize the students: “We're protesting how the people are dying in Gaza right now, how thousands of men, women, mothers, fathers and children are being displaced.”
Protests are violently suppressed by police and students insist, while many swearing-in ceremonies have already been cancelled.
