Rainy weather setting – Heavy hail in various areas
The skies opened in various areas of Cyprus on Easter Monday with heavy rain and storms.

Weak low pressure affecting the area.
In the afternoon, increased clouds are expected to give isolated rains and isolated storms in the mountains, south of Troodos and possibly in the east. Winds will be southwest to northwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and the sea will be a bit rough.
Tonight, the weather will be mostly clear. Winds will be mainly northwesterly, weak, 3 Beaufort and transient locally to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be somewhat rough. The temperature will drop to around 12 degrees inland, around 14 along the coast and around 5 in the higher mountains.
Tomorrow, the weather will be mostly sunny. Winds will initially be variable, light, 3 Beaufort to gradually become southwest to northwest, moderate 4 Beaufort and transient on the southern coast to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be a little rough and in the south up to rough. The temperature will rise to 27 degrees in the interior, around 25 on the coasts and around 18 degrees in the higher mountains.
On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday there will be temporarily increased high clouds. The temperature will gradually rise noticeably to fluctuate above the average climatic values.
