With significant monthly gains of 4.7%, the Cyprus Stock Exchange said goodbye in February, while during the first two months of 2024 the market recorded gains of 5.32%. The General Index closed on Thursday at 143.25 points, showing a slight increase of 0.20%.

The FTSE/CySE 20 Index recorded corresponding gains of 0.21%, closing at 87.03 points. The daily turnover jumped to €1,035,458, of which €837,577 related to transactions for the Hellenic Bank share, for which a large package of 263,000 shares was traded at a price of €2.40.

Of the individual stock indices, the Alternative Market moved up with gains of 1.09% and the Hotels also with 1.09%, while the Main Market fell by 0.16% and the Investment Companies by 0 .56%.

The biggest investment interest was attracted by the securities of Hellenic Bank with €837,577 (up 0.84% ​​- closing price €2.40). This was followed by the shares of Bank of Cyprus with €112,699 (fall 0.57% – closing price €3.47), Demetra Holdings Plc with €22,361 (fall 0.57% – closing price €0.87), Vassiliko Cement Factory with €17,251 (up 1.85% – closing price €3.30) and KEO with €11,927 (up 3.66% – closing price €1.70).

Of the stocks traded, seven moved up, four down and three unchanged. The number of transactions amounted to 174.
