Clouds and isolated showers for the weekend.
The Cyprus Meteorological Service has issued a new yellow warning for today.
According to the Meteorological Department, the warning comes into effect from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m.

Seasonal low pressure is affecting the area.
Today, the weather will be mostly clear, although there will be locally increased clouds in the afternoon and early afternoon. Winds will initially be mainly southeast to southwest light, 3 Beaufort, later becoming mainly southwest to northwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and transient locally on the southern coast to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be up to a little rough and locally a little rough. The temperature will rise to 40 degrees inland, 32 on the west coast, around 34 on the rest of the coast and 33 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight, the weather will be mostly sunny. During the morning hours, it is possible to form locally thin fog and low clouds. Winds will be mainly northwest to northeast, weak and transient locally to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be up to a little rough and locally a little rough. The temperature will drop to around 23 degrees in the interior and on the coast and to 20 degrees in the higher mountains.
Over the weekend, there will be intermittent locally increased clouds, which in the afternoon and early afternoon may give isolated rains, without excluding an isolated storm, mainly in the mountains and in the interior. On Monday, the weather will be mostly clear.
The temperature on Saturday will drop to hover near or slightly above the average climatic values and by Monday it will see a slight increase.
