The number of registered unemployed persons decreased to 10,880 persons in April 2024, decreasing by 17.2%, on an annual basis. This is the lowest number of registered unemployed since June 2021, when the automatic renewal of registrations was abolished.
According to the Statistical Service, based on the data kept in the District Labor Offices, the number of registered unemployed at the end of April 2024, reached 9,343 persons. Based on seasonally adjusted data, which shows the trend in unemployment, the number of registered unemployed in April 2024 fell to 10,880 persons, compared to 11,182 the previous month.
Compared to April of 2023 there was a decrease of 1,941 persons or 17.2%, attributed mainly to the sectors of financial and insurance activities, accommodation and catering services, construction, trade, as well as a decrease noted in new entrants to the labor market.< /p> < iframe width='300px' height='500px' src='https://www.adstorebluebird.cy/api/banner/ServeBanner?zoneId=2734' frameborder='0' scrolling='no'>
