“Me and you… together”, the fairy tale written by 12-year-old Maria Ioli Efstathiadi – On Sunday in Limassol the presentation
She is a 12-year-old girl. A sixth grade student of the 11th elementary school of Limassol. Like all children, that is.
Only that Maria Ioli Efstathiadi decided to write a fairy tale. And she talked to us about what led her to this.
“Two years ago, seeing so much malice and so much enmity across the length and breadth of the earth, I decided to write a children's fairy tale, which deals with various great and beautiful values such as kindness, friendship and unity that it seems that they no longer warm people's souls and consciences,” he said.
As little Maria Ioli says, in the eyes of children, the world seems to be collapsing and being torn down by the wars that, like evil giants with hearts blacker than the evening sky, demolish the magic of fairy tales and books.
< p>“By writing this fairy tale, I want to give a message of love and optimism to this world, which, unfortunately, has forgotten the important and essential values, which should normally be an integral part of our everyday life,” he says.
