In Ayia Napa, specifically on Nissi Avenue, the works for the construction of a park, which is expected to cost approximately 700 thousand euros, will soon begin, with the aim of upgrading the living standards of the residents.
In a written statement from the Municipality of Ayia Napa, it is stated that “today, Tuesday, October 25, the contracts for the construction of a park on Island Avenue were signed. The contracts were signed by the Mayor Christos Zannettou and the Managing Director of the Contractor Company S. Hadjichristofi Construction Ltd Spyros Hadjichristofi in the presence of the Municipal Engineer of the Municipality Yolanda Papanikolaou and the First Secretarial Officer of the Municipality Maria Ktoridou”.
It is “for an important project which will include 35 parking spaces, three disabled parking spaces, plus one parking space for cars transporting people in wheelchairs, green spaces, recycling points with semi-submersible bins, seating, reference points and games related to the history of Ayia Napa and other facilities for the public”.
In his statements, the Mayor of Ayia Napa stated that “despite the difficult conditions we continue to experience due to external factors, we continue to implement projects that will make Ayia Napa a modern and functional city, will upgrade its standard of living and at the same time facilitate the daily life of both its residents and visitors”.
It is noted that “based on its terms agreement, the project will be completed within 9 months and its cost amounts to 700 thousand euros”.
