Alternative route through Lakatamia
A section of the Anthoupoli – Palechorio road, in the Anthoupoli – Lakatamia area, is closed at around 1.00 noon on Tuesday. Closed in particular is the section from the Anthoupoli roundabout, under the Nicosia-Kokkinotrimithia highway, to the junction of Anthoupoli Palechorio road with Agios Georgiou avenue, in Anthoupoli, Lakatamia.
For traffic from urban areas of Nicosia towards Palaichori and on the contrary from Palaichori to Nicosia, the public is invited to use the roundabout of Strovolos Avenue to Archbishop Makariou Avenue III, in Lakatamia, then following Agios Georgios Avenue, up to its junction with Anthoupolis – Palechorio road, which remains open to traffic.
Passing drivers are urged to be especially careful and to follow the instructions of the members of the Police who are in the area to provide assistance and regulate traffic.< /p>
