Lease of two Cyprus Airways Airbus A320s with their crews to Aegean Airlines marks the expansion of the cooperation of the two airlines also at the operational level.
Aegean Airlines and Cyprus Airways signed a long-term lease agreementACMI (wet lease), according to which the Cypriot carrier will lease two Airbus A320 aircraft to the Greek carrier, including flight and cabin crew. The first aircraft will join Aegean's fleet in December, while the second lease will start at the end of March 2024. The deal was facilitated by Zela Aviation, specializing in air transport and ACMI lease agreements.
This partnership will offer both Aegean Airlines and Cyprus Airways a win-win solution that will allow the Cypriot carrier to grow its fleet and benefit from the best economies of scale, while providing Aegean with an efficient method to adding capacity over the next 12 months.

We already have an extensive codeshare agreement where we work closely together to deliver and optimize our shared products and services. Now we take our cooperation to the next level and work closely with Aegean, also on an operational level”.
