In the framework of the action dedicated to the Cypriot grandmother
To pay tribute to the grandmother's valuable contribution to society, ALAMBRA Dairy and ALFAMEGA Hypermarkets continued the tradition of the offer they created, implementing their seventh joint action in a row. The action was carried out as part of the “My grandmother… thank you” campaign and ran from March 28 to May 8.
The aim of this year's action was to financially support the work of the Community Volunteering Council (CVO) of the Kouri-Xylourikos Complex, which with the Elderly Services Program covers the basic needs of members from the 12 communities that make up the Complex. To realize the goal, the two partners allocated part of the revenue from the sales of ALAMBRA products, which were made during the specific period.
In the meeting they held with the President of the Kouri-Xylourikos SKE Complex, Mr. Giorgos Georgiou, on the morning of June 13, 2024, the two partners had the opportunity to show their practical support by handing over a check of €5,000. They were present, on behalf of the ALAMBRA Dairy Industry, by Michalis Petrou, Commercial Director and Anastasia Natsika, Brand Manager, and the Director of Communication and Corporate Social Responsibility of ALPHAMEGA Supermarkets, Natasa Konstantinidou.
The ALAMBRA Dairy Industry and ALPHAMEGA Supermarkets renewed the solidarity appointment with the public for next March, as the campaign returns every year, on the occasion of Grandmother's Day celebrated on 28/3. With the catalytic contribution of the consumer public, the two partners have so far supported seven different institutions, offering a total of €35,000.
Staying true to their vision of offering to Cypriot society, the two partners continue to enrich the multifaceted programs of Corporate Social Responsibility that they implement, with separate actions that have a positive impact on people and the environment.
