A total of 112 kg of waste was collected as part of a voluntary clean-up action organized on the beach of Voroklini by Bioland Energy Group Ltd, in collaboration with the Community Council of Voroklini, as part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility.
More than 100 staff members and senior management, as well as friends of the company, actively and enthusiastically participated in the beach clean-up effort, collecting 89 kg of mixed and 23 kg of recyclable waste (PMD). Of the recyclables, nine kilograms of metal waste were allocated to the charity organization Cans For Kids, with the aim of purchasing medical equipment for hospitals in Cyprus.
