The Famagusta District Court issued today, Thursday 5 May, a six-day detention order against a 25-year-old man of British origin to facilitate the police investigation into a case of causing death due to reckless, reckless and dangerous act. A statement from the Communication Office of the Police Headquarters states that “Yesterday, Wednesday, May 4, 46-year-old Camila Christina Pamdahl from Sweden lost her life.”
“Specifically, around 5.30 yesterday afternoon, under conditions that are being investigated, a buggy vehicle dragged the 46-year-old, who at that time was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing, on Nisi Avenue in Ayia Napa”, it is added.
It is added that “the 46-year-old was transported by ambulance to the General Hospital of Famagusta, where she was pronounced dead”.
It is noted that “the photo of the young man was made public as a wanted person and an arrest warrant was issued against him. The 25-year-old was located and arrested shortly before midnight on Wednesday, May 4, while in a breathalyzer test the indication was 44 mg, while the maximum is 9 mg. The 25-year-old was also tested for cannabis. “
The young man was arrested and detained while today he was brought before the District Court of Famagusta which issued a detention order against six days.
The case is being investigated by the Famagusta Traffic Department.
