The program combines in-depth and holistic theoretical coverage of aspects of educational leadership with necessary student exposure to case studies and other learning methods that are practically oriented. Through fruitful reflection on key issues of educational administration, it enables participants to become more effective in their teaching, leadership and administrative tasks and to propose solutions to create more effective and friendlier school environments for students and teachers . In this way, participants become more adept at making well-informed decisions in the workplace in relation to faculty engagement and interactions with students, parents and society at large, as well as implementing state policy goals for better learning outcomes, ensuring quality but also a positive life attitude in modern schools.
The MA Educational Leadership program is mainly aimed at teachers who wish to enrich their professional alternatives, aiming for administrative and leadership positions in the school unit, but also more generally to those who wish to enter from other professional fields in the area of education administration.
Seven thematic units make up the MA Educational Leadership program which are delivered through seminar-style lectures and through interactive workshops. After completing the first six modules, participants conduct action research under the supervision of an academic professor, on a topic of their own choosing which must specialize in an aspect of the spectrum of educational leadership. Emphasis is placed on assessing the achievement of learning objectives through tasks, where participating students are encouraged to develop assessment tasks that are directly related to their interests and needs as (potential) teachers and leaders of school units. The duration of the program is 12 months for full-time students or 18 months for part-time students.
