The ax fell very heavily on the second vice-president of ENY Digenis Ypsonas, Christakis Christoforou, who was punished with exclusion from the field for a year and specifically until 20/2/2022 (and with five games from the stadiums).
The reason, as mentioned in the announcement of the KOP with the decisions of the sports judge, is that Christoforou, after the end of the match with Omonia Psevda (20/2/2021), violently pushed the referee, hit him in the back and spat on him !
It is noted that for the violent behavior he showed in the same match, the assistant coach of the team, Giannos Vassilopoulos, was punished with a six-month ban (until 31/8/2021), while the football player Konstantinos Zarnas was punished with a three-match ban, “because he insulted the referees”.
