In the context of investigating a case of car theft, committed in Limassol, the Police proceeded to arrest two persons, while two other persons were arrested, in connection with an investigated case of theft of property from a parked car, committed in Larnaca. The two cases are being investigated by the TAE of Limassol and the Central Police Station of Larnaca, respectively.
In Limassol specifically, according to a complaint he submitted to the TAE on May 17, a 64-year-old man, on the night between May 16 and 17, his van-type car was stolen while it was parked outside his residence. Electrical and other tools were also inside the van. The stolen vehicle was spotted by members of the OPE Limassol the next day, May 18, parked in an area in Limassol. Electrical and other tools were stolen from the vehicle.
As part of the investigation into the theft case, evidence emerged against two men, aged 31 and 28, and judicial arrest warrants were issued against them. The 31-year-old suspect was located and arrested last Thursday, May 23, while the 28-year-old was located and arrested yesterday Friday.
In Larnaca, last Wednesday, May 22, a 64-year-old man reported to the Police that, on on the same day, an amount of 840 euros was stolen from his car, which he had left parked without locking it, in an open field, in an area of the city.
From examinations carried out by members of the Police, evidence emerged against a 19-year-old and a 17-year-old minor. Arrest warrants were issued against them, according to which they were arrested last night and taken into custody for the purpose of investigating the case.
