New cold gas mass is affecting the area until Saturday, but low pressure and warmer gas mass are expected on Sunday.
Today, periods of sunshine will alternate with cloudy skies, while isolated light rains or light snowfall locally in the mountains and early in the morning locally and in the semi-mountains are not excluded. The weather will improve soon. The winds will blow mainly westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 beauforts but strong in the wind, 5 beauforts. The sea will be up to turbulent, to the south and east but up to wavy on the rest of the coast. The temperature will rise to around 11 degrees inland, around 13 on the coast and around 2 degrees in the higher mountains, where locally the frost will be maintained.
Tonight the weather will be mostly clear, but in the western half of the island there will be locally increased clouds. The winds will blow northwest to northeast and locally west, light to moderate, 3 to 4 beauforts but initially, on the west coast, to strong, 4 to 5 beauforts. The sea will become a little rough, to the south and east, but up to the rest of the coast. The temperature will drop around one degree inland, around 5 on the coast and around minus 4 degrees in the higher mountains. In the mountains, in the semi-mountains, but also in leeward areas of the interior, frost will form.
On Friday the weather will be partly cloudy and in places mostly cloudy, while isolated rains are expected as well as temporary snowfall locally in the mountains. On Saturday the weather will initially be mostly clear, but from noon onwards it will be partly cloudy and in places mostly cloudy, with the possibility of isolated rains or temporary snowfall locally in the mountains. On Sunday the weather will gradually become mostly cloudy, with local rains at intervals, isolated thunderstorms and snowfall locally in the higher mountains.
The temperature is not expected to change significantly on Friday, while on Saturday it is expected to rise slightly, to fluctuate slightly below the average climatic values. A slight further rise in temperature is expected on Sunday, to be close to the average climatic values.
