According to citizen testimonies, the majority of them are Greek Cypriots, while the flight from Larnaca landed on time in the morning at Eleftherios Venizelos Airport, company staff did not allow them to board the next flight to Rome, with the same company.
Specifically, while the gate remained open, a company employee did not allow a number of travelers to board the aircraft with reasoning that the gate was about to be closed.
The travelers tried in vain to understand what had happened, since both flights were of the same company, the first arrived without delay in Athens and they themselves were at the gate within the permitted time frame. Instead of an explanation, the travelers received demeaning behavior from the Aegean employee who simply took her bag and left without any explanation and without providing any assistance.
Some of the travelers who must definitely arrive in Rome before noon, they were forced to buy – and at high prices – new tickets in order to reach their destination.
Complaints and a related complaint were made by travelers to the company.
