Long before music singles reached our ears as digital releases on Spotify or as a video on YouTube, they were initially released on so-called 45s, i.e. on small vinyl records, together with one more track and later, as a CD single.
The last, “forgotten” single format was chosen by Kate Bush to re-release “Running Up That Hill”, her track, that is, which, since it was heard in the fourth season of “Stranger Things” some time ago, has not it stopped being heard everywhere since then, but also breaking one record after another after its unprecedented success.
Running Up That Hill was the lead single from Bush's album Hounds of Love released in 1985, and in its single version, then released on vinyl, with the b-side track 'Under The Ivy'.
Now, 37 years since its first release, 'Running Up That Hill” is released as a CD single and in fact, this is the first time that the song is released in this format. In it, the b-side of the original release will be included.
So those of you faithful who have a CD player, hurry up.
