England's King Charles and his son, Prince Harry, were just three kilometers apart on Wednesday for two different events in central London.
But they didn't meet at all – officially, because of busy schedule of the British monarch.
But whatever the real reason, it is perhaps one of the most tangible proofs that the two sides keep a great distance from each other and the gap seems unbridgeable.

Charles hosted the first garden party of the season in Buckingham Gardens, accompanied by his wife and other blue bloods. Guests numbered around 8,000, with Charles and members of the royal family speaking to the assembled crowd before retiring to their own private area where VIP guests awaited them.
Justifiably absent from the event was the eldest the king's son, Prince William, and his wife, Kate Middleton, who is undergoing cancer treatment and is staying away from public events.
Further afield, in the same city, Harry attended a rally to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, which features ex-servicemen with mobility impairments. He has other events of this type in the coming days, but, of course, no royal obligations. He arrived in Britain alone without his family.
Besides, Charles' day was also full of appointments , the Daily Mail reports, including a meeting with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. It is also possible that he had a meeting with his medical team about his ongoing cancer treatment.
Harry revealed that the excuse he heard was that Charles' busy schedule did not allow time for a meeting. Nor would he meet his brother, Willam.
Father and son had met shortly after it was announced that Charles was suffering from cancer earlier this year. It was the first time they saw each other in person after 17 months.
