The independent candidate for the presidency of the Republic Nikos Christodoulidis met with the members of the Federation of Cyprus Patients' Associations (OSAK).

During the meeting, the major issues of the health sector were discussed, such as the GESS, the public hospitals, the first aid departments, while opinions were submitted & nbsp; in relation to the improvement of the provided services, the establishment of university hospitals, the strengthening of the controls and others.

In his statements to the camera of RIK, Mr. Christodoulidis stated that he unreservedly supports the General Health System, which is one of the most important social reforms that have been achieved in the history of the Republic of Cyprus. As he said, the expected problems and weaknesses in the system were discussed, as well as ways to deal with them. The question, as he stressed, is “how are these weaknesses treated so that the GESS is modernized with a key issue, especially when we talk about health issues, the quality of services offered.”
