The budget of the project amounts to 3 million euros and the project is part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan
The President of the Republic Mr. Nikos Christodoulidis presided today , at the Presidential Palace, meeting of the Council of Ministers.
After the meeting, the Government Spokesman, Mr. Konstantinos Letymiotis, in his statements to the journalists, said that “the Council of Ministers approved today a funding plan to strengthen the resilience and adaptation of communities to climate change, within the framework of the EU Recovery and Resilience Plan .
The main purpose of the plan is to promote the implementation of investments by the Community Councils through the provision of financial incentives in the form of non-refundable financial aid, for the mitigation and mitigation of the effects of climate change, mainly high temperatures and flooding phenomena, as well as investments sustainable mobility.
The budget of the project amounts to 3 million euros and the project is part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, which was drawn up to utilize the resources allocated to Cyprus by the European Recovery and Resilience Mechanism and submitted in the EU following approval by the Council of Ministers on 14 May 2021.
It is aimed at Community Councils and each will be able to apply to get the funding.
