The Mayor of Strovolos, Andreas Papacharalambous, handed over checks from the proceeds of ticket sales from music and theater events of the autumn season 2022, in the context of the cultural and social action of the Municipality of Strovolos, who met with representatives of charitable organizations.
In today's announcement, the Municipality of Strovolos states that the total amount granted to the charitable organizations from the income of the performances of the period in question amounts to €8,356.47.
In more detail, an amount of €1,666.00 was granted to the Armenian Relief Society, from the proceeds of the Theater show "Foteini" of Eurydice Perikleous, given on 9/26/22, an amount of €400.00 was granted to the Cypriot Muscular Dystrophy Association, from the proceeds of the Violin and Piano Recital "Musical Escapes" which was given on 20/10/22 and an amount of €1,933.33 was granted to the Welfare Fund "Nea Eleousa Shelter" from the proceeds of the concert "I sing and support my fellow man", with the Symphonic Band of Dimos Strovolos – of the European University of Cyprus and soloist Kyros Patsalidis, given on 27/10/22.
Also, an amount of €1,400.00 was granted to the Pancypriot Down Syndrome Association, from the income of the show “Makrycostaios and Kontogiorgides”. by THOK, given on 06/10/22, an amount of €1,533.33 was granted to the 76th Cyprus Scout System from the proceeds of the "Memories" concert. given on 25/10/22, an amount of €566.67 was granted to the Pan-Cypriot Anti-Leukemia Association "Zoi" from the income of the joint performance of the Municipal Groups "Classical music meets Greek" given on 23/11/22, as well as an amount of €857.14 was granted to the Association for people with Autism from the proceeds of the concert "The Sound of a City– Thessaloniki» which was given on 28/11/22.
The Municipality of Strovolos announces that the program of granting the revenues from the events of the Municipality to charitable organizations will continue in the year 2023, with the new artistic program, which will to be announced soon.
