An update on Jan Leciaks as well
Omonoia has issued an official announcement on the departure of Jan Leciaks.
“We are informing about the completion of our cooperation with Jan Leciaks.
Ian is a footballer who earned a special place in the history of OMONIA, of which he was also the captain, wearing its shirt in 174 matches and scoring eight goals.
He played in our team for five years, during which time we won a league, two cups and a shield, finished in 1st place once again and achieved three European group stage qualifiers, two UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League.
He has many great memories in the shirt of OMONIA, with his leading presence at the top in winning the championship after eleven years. Also, a moment that stands out is the penalty shootout against Red Star, which sent us into the European group stage for the first time in our history. His appearances in matches against great European teams such as Manchester United, Real Sociedad, PSV Eindhoven, PAOK, Granada CF, KAA Gent and Royal Antwerp will be unforgettable.
