Two people aged 20 and 21, who were wanted since December by the Paphos Police for alleged dangerous driving and causing traffic accidents were arrested on Monday.
According to ADE Paphos Press Representative and Head of TAE Paphos, Michalis Nikolaou, the two arrested are facing charges for the offenses of illegal possession of explosives and the commission of various traffic offences.
As Mr. Nikolaou mentioned, the case developed on December 22 when the Police spotted a car allegedly driving dangerously in the city, had previously caused a series of traffic accidents, was pursued by the Police and crashed into two other moving vehicles.
Subsequently during the stop of the vehicle the driver of the vehicle and the passenger fled leaving the car and a purse containing 18 full military cartridges.
Against the two Arrest warrants had been issued for them. Their arrest was successful on Monday.
The investigation into the case continues by the Paphos Police.
