The two men, aged 72 and 42, who were arrested earlier on Wednesday in connection with the shooting of a high-powered grenade in the yard of a private doctor in Paphos, were released without charge late in the afternoon.
According to the Police, the two persons under interrogation denied any involvement and since nothing was found against them, they were released.
Police are investigating a case of conspiracy to commit a crime, illegal possession, transport and use of explosives, and attempted destruction of property with explosives
The explosion occurred around 7.10 pm, on Tuesday, in the parking lot of the 40-year-old's house, in Paphos. Police members visited the scene, where they conducted examinations. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a police recruiting center.
The blast damaged two cars, owned by the 40-year-old and his wife, which were parked in the parking lot. Damage was also caused to the windows and the masonry of the house. TAE Paphos is investigating the case.
