Petros Nakouzi announced his candidacy for the post of Maronite Representative for the May parliamentary elections. Mr. Nakouzi is a certified public accountant and managing partner of Mazars auditing firm in Cyprus.
According to him, his decision was based on his vision for the future of the Maronite community but also the belief that it can contribute to its prosperity, in a period of prolonged political and social crisis.
His primary goal is to return to the 4 occupied villages of the Maronite community of Kormakiti, Asomato, Agia Marina and Karpasia.
But a return, as he emphasizes, that will allow the development in conditions of security and permanence, with the legal rights of the community guaranteed.
His personal goal is also the maximum cooperation, inside and outside the community, in order to take advantage of the potential of young people, in all areas.
With his main characteristics of collectivity, morality and respect for others, as he says, he aims to strengthen all community-organized groups and aims to support the trapped and resettled Maronites.
She looks forward to a community where the collective good will outweigh the staff and declares her readiness to serve it with honesty, seriousness and demands.
It is worth noting that Petros Nakouzi has been a founding member of the Maronite Welfare and Development Charitable Foundation, while in recent years he actively attends and participates in most official events of the Maronite church, associations and generally organized community groups.
