Nea Salamina beat Ethnikos 2-1, celebrating a home win after three months
Despite losing in the first half, Nea Salamina managed to turn the tables against them and with a goal by Diakite in the 89th minute, won 2-1 against Ethnikos.
Part 1
The first minutes of the match at “Ammochostos-Peipstros” were distinctive, with both teams trying to impose their rhythm.
New Salamina it was the team that had the first big phase in the match, specifically in the 14th minute with Miguelito getting a header unperturbed but sending the ball over the posts.
Four minutes later, the “red and whites” again threatened with the same footballer again leaving opposite Panagis but sending the ball past the home goal.
Ethnikos threatened for the first time in the 21st minute with Christofis to make the shot from inside the area but Kalanidis blocked.
In the 24th minute, however, the team of Achnas managed to take the lead with Christofis leaving behind the backs of the defenders of Nea Salamina and giving a ready goal to M. Ilias who scored for one more game.
In the remaining minutes the hosts tried to react but were unable to enter the area with claims.
Thus, at the end of the first half, Ethnikos found a 0-1 lead over Nea Salamina.
Part 2
The first few minutes of the second half were quite average in terms of spectacle, with both teams unable to become threatening.
In the 67th minute, New Salamina managed to equalize the game with Narsing leaving behind the defense of Ethniki, sniping the ball over Panagis and making it 1-1.
At the same level continued the match in the next few minutes with New Salamina being slightly better without becoming threatening.
Where everything seemed to end in a tie, the home team managed to pull off the upset. In the 89th minute, after a corner kick, Diakite got a powerful header and defeated Panagi.
New Salamina won at home after three months and climbed to 47 points.
