The Bank of Cyprus and the company Kotsovolos Kyprou, in the framework of the SupportCY actions, immediately responded to the call of the Ministry of Social Welfare to offer Christmas presents to children hosted in children's state roofs. Both the purchase of gifts and the offer of electronic equipment, such as consoles and games nintendo and playstation, smartwatches, televisions, speakers, etc. were made immediately, after a list of the children's wishes was first compiled.
In total, gifts were purchased for 64 children.
The equipment was handed over to the Deputy Minister of Social Welfare at the SupportCY House in Eleftherias Square on December 22, in the presence of representatives of the Bank of Cyprus and the company Kotsovolos Cyprus.
Bank of Cyprus Corporate Responsibility Director Elli Ioannidou said that Bank of Cyprus immediately responded to the call of the Ministry of Social Welfare to support children hosted in child shelters under the responsibility of the Republic of Cyprus. “Meeting social needs, especially of children, is in the philosophy of Bank of Cyprus and SupportCY, not only during the Christmas period, but all year round.
