The driver of the 19-year-old vehicle that was chased at noon in the area of Emba – Talas was arrested.
According to the Police, the 19-year-old was arrested a while ago, while his passenger in the 17-year-old vehicle was handed over alone to the Paphos Central Police Station late in the afternoon.
According to the Police, the vehicle was driven by a 19-year-old with a co-driver of the 17-year-old, who failed to stop at a signal of members of the Paphos Traffic Police in the area of Emba-Talas, as a result of which their pursuit began. In fact, fire was used against the vehicle.
At some point on the Emba – Talas road, the vehicle with the two occupants collided with a police vehicle as a result of the chase, as a result of which it came to a standstill. The two passengers then fled on foot while late in the afternoon the 17-year-old was handed over to the Paphos police headquarters. An arrest warrant was issued against the 19-year-old and he is wanted by members of the Paphos police department with the assistance of members of the “Z” group.
The two persons are being investigated for conspiracy to commit a crime, conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, malicious damage, unreasonably dangerous and negligent driving, driving without insurance under stopping and stopping at a police station.
