Dead was found on Sunday night, a man aged 86 who was missing in the sea area of Meneo in the province of Larnaca.
In a statement from the Center it is stated that “around 21:15 on Sunday evening, the Larnaca Police Department received information from the city's Police Department for a missing 86-year-old bathing man, in the sea area of Meneo in Larnaca”.
The KSED “immediately activated the E-D Plan “NEARCHOS” and mobilized, a high-speed boat of the Port and Navy police officer ias, a speed boat of the Larnaka Airport Lifeguard Team, a foot patrol of the Kiti Police Station and a vehicle with a thermal camera of the Coastal Observation System of the Greek Coast Guard, with the aim of conducting investigations in the area of the incident”.
However, the announcement adds “after extensive searches, at around 10:15 p.m., the person was unfortunately found dead”.
