An increase of 1.64% was noted by the FTSE/CySE 20 Index, closing at 99.07 points
On Wednesday, the Cyprus Stock Exchange closed at its highest level in exactly 12 years, continuing the upward trend recorded since the beginning of May, during which it accumulated large gains of 12.6%. On Wednesday, the market recorded a significant increase of 1.63% to close at 162.96 points, the highest level since May 22, 2012.
A gain of 1.64% was recorded by the FTSE Index /CySE 20, closing at 99.07 points. The daily turnover was maintained above the level of one million euros, as it amounted to €1,294,929.
All stock indices closed with gains. Hotels saw the biggest increase of 2.76%, the Main Market strengthened by 1.72%, the Alternative Market increased by 0.78% and Investments increased by 0.38%.
The largest investment of interest were the shares of Bank of Cyprus with €882,580 (closing price €4.57 – up 2.47%), Hellenic Bank with €234,411 (closing price €2.57 – up 2.8%), Petrolina with € 49,205 (closing price €0.795 – down 0.63%), Dimitra Investments with €42,182 (closing price €0.984 – up 0.41%) and Vassilikos Cement with €31,456 (closing price €3.86 – up 1, 05%).
Of the shares that were traded, nine moved up, four down and two remained unchanged. The number of transactions reached 294.
