Supporting students to achieve their dreams them
The “ENAVSMA” scholarship foundation, which is a creation of the cooperation of two organizations, the Thanos Hotels Group & Resorts and Round Table 7 Paphos.
The foundation, which initially operated as a joint scholarship fund, was established in 2018, based on the vision of the Group's founder, the late Alekos Michaelides, who considered knowledge and learning to be the best resources for the development of society. This vision was transformed into action by the Michaelidis family, to be embraced by the Round Table 7 of Paphos, in the general context of the continuous efforts to support the local community.
The shared values and goals of the two organizations contributed to the creation of the foundation, which provides postgraduate level scholarships to male and female students who, due to financial difficulties, cannot continue their studies. As part of the support and investment in the new generation of the place, ten scholarships, with a total value of €84,000, have been given – so far – to excellent students from the Paphos district, who saw their dreams come true in university institutions of Cyprus and abroad.
After searching for a name that would encompass the values and purpose of the institution, the name “ENAVSMA” was chosen, as the initial step that will give the students the necessary impetus and opportunity to spread their wings and become the leaders and pioneers of tomorrow.
In her speech, Ms. Natasa Michailidou, President of the “ENAVSMA” foundation, said: “In this venture, we met people who love learning and are full of appetite to continue their academic journey, investing in their future. We stand by these children and it is our great joy to see them, not only flourish, but pursue important professional careers in the fields of their interest. And they will succeed! Each of their dreams has our support”.
Mr. Leontios Tselepos, a member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation, expressed his excitement that the scholarship foundation is becoming even more dynamic, gaining new fellow travelers. “We will continue to do what we do best. To organize actions and events that enrich the cultural and artistic events of the place and generate financial resources, through sponsorships and income, contributing to the increase in the number of scholarships and giving even more children the impetus to believe that dreams can come true” .
The foundation, with the slogan “We give fuel to your dreams”, invites agencies, companies and organizations to support the effort, participating as sponsors in the action plan for 2023, which includes, among other things, organizing gala dinner with well-known artists, experiential activities, events with the participation of well-known personalities from the field of culture, sports, but also the business community, which will inspire the Cypriot public.
