The WIZ proposals
In this period when everything is a little more relaxed and the weather a little “sweeter”, the days are suitable for a walk in the center of Nicosia.
Ideally, this walk can combine a visit with family and friends to the Christmas Fairytale Town, for endless play in the Moat, as well as coffee, food and sweets at one of the food stations located inside.
Being there, we can see the city from above on the 45-meter Wheel, we can send the adrenaline soaring with the F1 Booster, go ice skating, watch 5D Cinema, give unforgettable images to the children on the Carousel and generally make use of our time enjoying more than ten games and activities in Paramythoupoli.
In addition to the various sweets, drinks and food offered within Paramythoupolis, the surrounding area offers several dining options.
1. First, we will refer to the beloved Madama Residence, which in recent days has enriched its menu, adding to it three delicious pizzas. This is a traditional Italian pizza, made with a thin sheet (160 grams) and which can be offered either as a starter or in the middle, since the general philosophy of Madama is “to share”. Regarding the three types of pizza, Bella Donna includes Prosciutto Cotto Ham, bacon, mushroom and caramelized onion, Vesuvian which is spicy includes fresh chillies, chorizo, bacon, cherry tomatoes and chilly sauce that they make themselves, while finally Caprese, made with cherry tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil.
2. Then there is Pinolo, Nicosia's new elegant restaurant, which opened very recently in the fully renovated iconic Severis building, on Makariou Avenue. The chef and his team, using excellent raw materials, many PDO ingredients (all cured meats and cheeses) such as Parma prosciutto and Italian cheeses such as tomini, and fine flour, make fresh pizza daily with 48-hour-aged dough. You will be blown away by the taste of the pizza at Pinolo, whatever you choose, and how easy it is to digest!
3. In the nearby area is also Da Paolo, where you can sit opposite Don Vito Corleone (of the picture frame) and enjoy your favorite pizza, made with fresh ingredients, authentic dough, which is perfectly baked in the special oven. An all time classic restaurant, with a trattoria feel, picturesque and welcoming, with the characteristic checkered tablecloths!
4. If you want something more elegant, certainly a very good choice is the popular all day bar restaurant Bottega Amaro, with its stylish bar, over-sized lamps and fashionable people. Through a menu that flirts with Italy, you can enjoy, among other things, perfect thin-crust pizza, along with beer or a cocktail.
5. For those who want an authentic experience, similar to that offered by a trattoria in Southern Italy, Crosta Nostra makes and serves Pizza Napoletana in a traditional oven, as well as Sicilian-inspired street food, and some signature desserts.
6. In the middle of the pedestrian street on Ledras Street, at one of Il Forno's privileged tables, in addition to peranzada you will enjoy, as always, good Italian cuisine, including delicious pizzas baked in a wood-fired oven!
7. Nearby is Marzano, which has been a constant value for many years, especially for family outings. A completely family restaurant, the quality of whose dishes helps it to always be in the preferences of those who want to enjoy Mediterranean flavors and especially good pizza!
