Services in the public and semi-public sector, as well as in Local Government, will remain closed on Thursday, January 26, 2023, during the period during which a nationwide work stoppage has been declared, due to non-payment of Automatic Indexation.
The Department of Postal Services informs the public that due to the Pan-Union mobilization on Thursday, all Post Offices and KE.PO. will remain closed due to the strike measures from 12ː00 – 15ː00.
According to the announcement of the Postal Services transmitted by the GTP, all appointments at KE.PO. have been canceled and the public is invited to reschedule either through the call center 80002000, or through the online platform https://kepo.cypruspost.post/v2/.
The Nicosia Water Supply Board, in a statement, informs its consumers that the Consumer Service Department (CES) will remain closed during the three-hour general strike on Thursday, between the hours of 12:00 – 15:00. The Water Supply Board notes that the Technical Services of the Water Supply Board will work with security teams for the orderly operation of the water supply.
The Nicosia Sewerage Council informs the public that, due to the participation of public and wider public sector workers in the general strike which will begin at 12:00 p.m. and will end at 3:00 p.m., the Public Service Department will remain closed between these hours, while the Council's Technical Services will operate with security personnel.
The Municipality of Nicosia informs the public that the Municipality's Funds, as well as its services, will remain closed on Thursday, January 26 from 12:00 to 15:00 due to the All-Cypriot Pan-Unionist three-hour, warning work stoppage for the safeguarding and defense of A.T.A.
The Municipality of Strovolos announces that the public service at the Municipal Hall and the rest of the municipal infrastructures will take place until 11:45 am. on Thursday 26 January 2023, ahead of the union-wide three-hour strike and apologize for any inconvenience.
