Works are being carried out from today until Friday, between 09:00 and 16:00, on the highway heading towards Nicosia.
Specifically, according to the Public Works Department, works are being carried out to install final horizontal markings, on sections of the A9 motorway, in the direction of Nicosia (from the Mammari exit to the Nicosia Mall), which has been preceded by maintenance of the asphalt pavement.
During execution of the works, there will be a partial stoppage of vehicle traffic per lane of the A9 motorway, in the direction of Nicosia, and the smooth movement of all vehicles will be ensured through the adjacent traffic lanes.
Also, from today Monday until Thursday, from 18:00 in the evening until 06:00 in the morning of the following day, work will be carried out to install emergency doors on the Central Island of the Nicosia Motorway – Limassol in the Alhambra area.
During the execution of the works, the fast traffic lanes to Limassol and to Nicosia will be closed, in sections of approximately 2000 meters long, and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent slow traffic lanes, it is reported .
The Department of Public Works apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and calls on the public to show the necessary understanding and to comply with the temporary road markings and the instructions of the Police.
