In the last 24 hours, the Police have filed complaints against 166 citizens and owners of two premises for violating the measures to limit the spread of coronavirus disease.
In his statements to KYPE, a representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters stated that from 6.00 on Tuesday morning until 6.00 this morning, 13,021 checks were carried out.
In Nicosia, 2,977 inspections were carried out and 27 citizens complained, in Limassol, 4,046 inspections were carried out with 95 complaints of citizens, in Larnaca, 1,298 inspections were carried out with 16 complaints of citizens and a property owner, in Paphos, 1,527 inspections were carried out with 14 complaints of citizens and a property owner. Famagusta also carried out 1,391 inspections with 9 complaints from citizens and in the area of Morfos 882 inspections were carried out, without any complaint.
Also, throughout Cyprus, the Traffic Police carried out 792 inspections, which resulted in 5 complaints from citizens.
The Port and Maritime Police carried out 98 inspections, which did not result in any complaints, while 10 inspections were carried out by the MMAD, without any complaints.
