80 complaints by the Police for e-scooters user violations

Between the dates November 14 and November 20, 2022, Cyprus-wide checks on the correct driving of personal mobility devices were carried out (e-scooters), based on the legislation that recently entered into force and governs the use of such devices.
The aim of the controls was the compliance of electric scooter operators with the provisions of the new legislation, but also to raise their awareness , in matters of road safety when using these devices.
Along with the traffic controls, the Police continues to educate the public about the provisions of the new legislation regarding electric scooters and their proper use on the road .
Among the main provisions of the Legislation that came into force are the obligation of operators to always wear a protective helmet and during the night fluorescent clothing.
