Hellenic Bank: Another year of giving as part of the #HBVolunteersChallenge campaign

Ελληνικor Τρπε&zeta ;α: ακμα χροσφοσσα ; πσιεκτεiα  /></p> <p> </source> The #HBVolunteersChallenge 2023-2024 campaign was successfully completed by the human resources of Hellenic Bank with actions for the welfare of society </p> <p>The campaign<strong> #HBVolunteersChallenge </strong>was organized for another year with the dynamic participation of Hellenic Bank's human resources, proving that conscious contribution, whether individual or group, is a driving force for ensuring a better quality of life for our fellow human beings.</p> <p >Staff members worked for another year with selflessness and enthusiasm, participating in a number of actions and initiatives, aimed at supporting the welfare of society.</p> <p>The #HBVolunteersChallenge <strong>campaign started in December 2023</strong>on the occasion of World Volunteer Day, 5th December, and completed in early 2024. All the Bank's Departments/Units/Services were invited, through the #HBVolunteersChallenge, to coordinate their own action, encouraging the voluntary contribution of staff to the overall well-being of society. The total amount raised through the campaign was €8,000.</p> <p>During this time, 23 Organizations, Charitable Foundations and Non-Governmental Organizations were financially supported such as the Miracle Babies Association, the Association for the Support of People with Dementia 'Ithaki', the All-Cypriot Association of Rare Genetic Diseases 'Unique Smiles', the Charitable Foundation 'Toxotis', the “Saint Luke the Healer” Community, the Emergency Volunteer Battalion, the Love Wagon,  the Pan-Cyprus Autism Association (Paphos), the Ronald McDonald House Charities, the Children's/Young People's Book Association (NGO) and others.</p> <p>Staff members organized collection, sorting and delivery of essential items to community grocery stores in Cyprus, in almost all cities, food supply to vulnerable families through organized groups/institutions and supply of books to school and community libraries (new and used). In addition, an Automatic External Defibrillator was donated to the Community of Agro and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Makarios Hospital was supported.</p> <p>Participation in the “Adopt a Family at Christmas” campaign of the   Pan-Cypriot Volunteer Coordinating Council was also important, with offering coupons from supermarkets to vulnerable families, but also supporting the dog shelter by buying and offering food and other necessities.</p> <p>In addition to the voluntary, charitable and environmental actions that Hellenic Bank organizes throughout the year, the #HBVolunteersChallenge is now established as an annual institution, promoting the spirit of altruism and giving. Already, in the past three years, Hellenic Bank became the first organization to be honored for its contribution in the framework of the Pan-Cyprus Volunteering Week by the President of the Republic of Cyprus.  </p> <p><noindex></p> <div class=Source: www.philenews.com
