With the clear aim of facilitating as many hotel units and tourism businesses as possible to remain in operation during the winter, the Council of Ministers, as prepared by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, yesterday approved the extension of the domestic tourism support plan until March 2022.
The existing plan expires at the end of November and, as it appears from yesterday's announcement of the Ministry of Tourism, it will be officially extended from December 1 to March 31, 2022 and even with slightly improved terms, at least for hoteliers.

Specifically, the new plan will include hotels and tourist accommodation (Organized Apartments, Tourist Villages, Agritourism Accommodation) and Tourist Offices that can offer a maximum price of 70 euros (including VAT) for a double room, with breakfast, per day, with minimum stay two nights.
It is noted that the maximum price for the participation of tourism companies in the plan running until the end of November was 60 euros for a double room with breakfast. The subsidy / grant from the Ministry of Tourism will amount to 25% of the cost of accommodation in the plan that will take effect from December onwards while the corresponding subsidy for the plan ending in November is 30%.
