The prospects of Cypriot shipping, in the light of international developments as well as the challenges faced by the sector due to the imposition of sanctions against Russia, were discussed by AKEL Secretary General Stefanos Stefanou in his meeting , on Wednesday, with the Deputy Minister of Shipping, Marina Hatzimanoli.
According to the announcement of the party, Mr. Stefanou noted the need to upgrade the country's shipping infrastructure, while he made special reference to the ports and the need to deal with the problems that have arisen from their privatization, due to the continuous increases in fees, as a result of which the competitiveness of Cypriot exports is affected.
