In a fatal road collision that occurred shortly after midnight in Nicosia, Kyriakos Oxynos, 24 years old from Engomi, lost his life.
The fatal collision happened ten minutes after midnight, when a car driven by the 24-year-old, on Griva Digeni Avenue, at some point of the avenue (opposite Metohi Kykkos), under circumstances that are being investigated,  ; deviated from his course, partially climbed the dividing island of the road and then crashed into an adjacent tree.
As a result of the road collision, the young driver was critically injured, who was extricated by members of the Fire Service .
He was then taken by ambulance to the Nicosia General Hospital, where shortly before three in the morning, he succumbed to his injuries.
