“It was a serious injury but fortunately I recovered well. Achilles is worse than the knee. My doctor in Portugal is an amazing professional, he did a great job and after six months I was training with the team again. At first the estimate was that I would be out for 8-9 months. I appreciated that they came from the team and told me they wanted me to renew. This move was very important for me. I agreed and we signed for another year. I wanted to play and enjoy football. I am happy here. The club is organized and the level is very good. My family is happy here. I am 36 years old and I want to enjoy football. I want to play for one more year. So you are not thinking of retiring?

“Two years ago I decided that I would go year after year. To see how my body and mind react. What I feel now is that I can play for one more season. This season has developed very well for me and the team and I hope that in the end we will also get the championship title. It will be incredible to celebrate such a great achievement”

Where would you like to end your career? In Cyprus, Greece, Spain or Portugal?

“To be honest I don't know. I don't think about it. Like I said right now all I'm thinking about is winning the championship. When I left Aris I was thinking of going back to Portugal because I have been playing in my country since I was 23 years old. To be with my family. But finally the offer came from here and I signed for AEK Larnaca”.
