Police arrested three people suspected of car theft. Two of the three suspects were spotted by members of the Police moving in a vehicle that had been stolen.
Specifically, around 6.45 yesterday afternoon, after information, members of the Crime Prevention Unit – Limassol Police Department, located a car that had been stolen driving on a road in the area of Polemidia, Limassol, by the two suspects, men aged 37 and 23 years. After the two suspects parked the vehicle in a dead end and got out of it, the members of the OPE stopped them for control and then proceeded to arrest them, for the purpose of police investigations.
According to the examined data, The car was stolen on the night between Monday and Tuesday, June 20-21, while it was parked outside the house of its owner, in Kato Polemidia. The theft was reported on Tuesday morning at the Polemidia Police Station.
A third suspect, a 27-year-old man, was also arrested for car theft, following evidence leveled against him during the investigation. The suspect was located shortly after 9.30 last night and was arrested with a court warrant issued for police investigation purposes.
According to the information under investigation, the car was stolen on June 12, around 7.00 pm , while it was parked in an area in Astromeritis, in Nicosia. The theft of the vehicle was reported the same night at the Peristeronas Police Station. The next night, members of the Police located the stolen vehicle parked in an area in Limassol.
