Moving words about his father
It was June 21, 2019 when Dimitris Christofias passed away at the age of 73.
The former President of the Republic of Cyprus passed away after serious health problems he was facing, with his health becoming worse shortly before he left the life.
On the occasion of the five years since the day he left, well-known figures of the political scene as well as his supporters made moving posts honoring his memory.

Among them is his son, Christos Christofias who published a photo of his father, accompanying it with touching words.
He characteristically wrote: “5 years today since you ran away…
“Never have I or my family lived a second, hidden or dark life.< /p>
My family and I have never lived at the expense of others, dirty money has never passed through our hands…
< em>I remained stubbornly true to the ideals with which I was raised.
Stubbornly loyal to the time when people had faith and fought for what they believed in giving everything for their ideals.
Stubbornly loyal to the time when people had over their word, humanity, honor and respectability and this was visible in their eyes, in their lives, in their way of life, in their attitude of life”.
