Pediatric cancer is not invincible, says Health Minister Konstantinos Ioannou, noting on the occasion of World Pediatric Cancer Day that Cyprus has one of the highest cure rates in the world.
“On the occasion of today's World Childhood Cancer Day, we send our love to the Little Heroes, who with their fight prove that childhood cancer is not invincible,” said Mr. Ioannou, in a post on his Twitter account .
The high quality services offered by the Pediatric – Pediatric Hematology Clinic of Makarios Hospital to children with cancer have the result that Cyprus has one of the highest cure rates in the world and is favorably compared with the most developed countries, he notes.
“We thank and appreciate the contribution of both the medical and paramedical staff as well as all the other bodies and organizations that contribute to winning this battle,” the Minister concludes in his message.
