"From the Press and Communication Office of the Ecumenical Patriarchate it is announced to all interested parties that His Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Mr. Bartholomew and the Mother Church of Constantinople do not mix as any way in the upcoming archdiocesan elections in the Holy Church of Cyprus. Any other estimates, from various “ecclesiastical circles”, which have seen the light of day, are non-existent.
