As part of the investigation and evaluation of evidence, members of YKAN (Klimakio Limassol) spotted around 8.30 last night a car driving on the old road of Larnaca – Limassol.
An attempt was made to stop the specific vehicle, but the driver, in his attempt to escape, collided with two official vehicles and then stopped.
During the check, it was found that the driver was 23 years old from the province of Limassol while in a search carried out in the car, six airtight packages were found which contained cannabis with a total weight of 6 kilograms and 480 grams. The 23-year-old was arrested for a self-inflicted crime.
An investigation followed at the 23-year-old's house where another 22-year-old person also lives. During the investigation, four nylon packages containing a total of 65 grams of cannabis as well as a precision scale were found in the 22-year-old's bedroom.
The 22-year-old was called and went to the offices of YCAN (Klimakio Limassol) where he was already and the 23-year-old and subsequently both were arrested on the basis of court warrants and taken into custody.
The YKAN (Limassol Police Station) in collaboration with the Moni Police Station are continuing the examinations.
