In an event held on the morning of Wednesday 3/5/2023 in Nicosia, Cablenet officially announced the extension of cooperation with the historic football teams of APOEL and Anorthosis until the summer of 2027.
Cablenet since the summer of 2019, where it is actively involved with the Cypriot football league, “tied” the two big teams with a contract for 3 more years renewing the excellent cooperation with them.
The CEO of Cablenet Yannos Michaelidis, as well as the presidents of the two groups Prodromos Petridis (APOEL) and Andreas Sandis (Anorthosis) spoke about the expansion of cooperation.
< strong>The CEO of Cablenet Giannos Michaelidis emphasized, among other things: “The big moments that football and sports in general bring are huge. Ta last 5 years we covered over 400 matches of Cypriot teams. We have the most technologically qualified studio in Cyprus as well as a team of people who work tirelessly to present the games to the sports fans. We connected with 2 renowned and historical teams of Cyprus, Anorthosis and APOEL. Two groups with a historical course of offering in our country. The decision to continue for another 3 years was easy. Our relationship and cooperation with both groups is excellent. We will continue to follow the values and principles with which we have accustomed the sports fans. The two presidents of the teams as well as the CEO of Cablenet, then received questions about important issues in relation to the coverage of the televised matches with piracy being a suppressive factor and in Cypriot football.
