The members of the Famagusta Police Department (ADE) offered food and basic necessities to support the campaign of the Famagusta Pan-Cyprus Volunteer Council on the theme “Adopt a family”.
In a written statement from the ADE Famagusta, it is stated that “today, Wednesday, December 14, as part of the Police's social offering, members of the Force offered food and basic necessities to support the all-Cypriot campaign, organized by the Famagusta Pan-Cypriot Volunteer Council, for the ninth year with “Adopt a family” theme.
It is added that “the aim of the campaign was to support vulnerable families in Famagusta province in view of the Christmas holidays. The delivery of food and basic necessities took place today, in an event at the Day Care Center for the Elderly in Liopetri, by the Police Director of the Famagusta Police Department, Giorgos Economou, to the President of the Famagusta Voluntary Council Vassos Christodoulou, who undertook the further distribution to the needy families”.
In statements during the handing over of the material, Mr. Oikonomou said that “both the Directorate and the other members of the ADE Famagusta are always next to the person who is tested and the person who needs aid. All the members of the ADE when they were called to help in the wonderful work that the Volunteer Council does, cooperated as a result of gathering and transporting the materials”.
