The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulidis, is in Brussels to participate in the work of the informal European Council, as well as the work of the informal meeting of the European People's Party (EPP) of the ELP, there will be a discussion about the position that the biggest political power of the EU will take, in which the President of the Republic also participates, in terms of who will occupy the top four offices of the European institutions.
In the evening, during the working dinner in the framework of the informal European Council, the heads of state and government of the EU member countries will evaluate the results of the recent Elections for the nomination of the members of the European Parliament and will exchange views in relation to the new heads of the EU institutions, with the aim of convening to reach an agreement during the regular European Council meeting on 27 and 28 June.
In Brussels, the President of the Republic is accompanied by the Deputy Minister of European Affairs Mrs. Marilena Rauna, the Director of the President's Press Office, the Director of the Diplomatic Office of the President Mr. Doros Venezis and officials.
